The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) is investigating a shooting in front of Evanston Plaza.

On August 1st at 11pm, officers responded to the Evanston Plaza for reports of gunfire. Arriving officers located a gunshot victim in front of the Discount Laundry. Officers rendered aid until emergency services could transport the adult male victim to a nearby medical facility.

The case remains under active investigation, and as of now, no individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
