The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that took place at an apartment complex on Ladson Road overnight.

At around 10:45 p.m. on August 15th, officers responded to reports of gunfire at the MAA Commerce Apartments, where they found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite administering first aid until emergency medical services arrived, the victim succumbed to their injuries.

NCPD and the coroner's office are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and share it through the CRIMEWATCH app.
