The West Manchester Township Police, York County District Attorney’s Office and York County Coroner’s Office after more than a decade of investigation, would like to announce that we have officially identified the unknown skeletal remains connected to a homicide case.
The remains were discovered 13 years ago at Loucks Rd and Haviland Rd and have remained unidentified despite extensive forensic efforts. Through advanced DNA analysis and forensic genealogy, we have now confirmed the victim’s identity, providing some long-awaited answers in this case.
The deceased is DAVID ANTHONY QUEEN age 42 from Baltimore Maryland who went missing on November 6, 2006. He was last seen by family heading to work at McDonalds on Falls Rd from his residence at 2815 Violet Ave. in Baltimore. His mother reported him missing on December 8, 2006.
From 2013 till 2020 it was believed our victim was Caucasian or Hispanic based on all available testing and reports. Starting in April 2020 it was discovered through more advanced DNA test conducted for DNA DOE Project that we found our victim was not Caucasian but African American. With this new information DNA DOE Project compared DNA profiles with publicly available genealogy data to locate potential relatives.
We have notified the victim’s family who have been awaiting information on their loved one since they went missing in 2006. We are hoping this breakthrough renews momentum in the homicide investigation and may generate new leads.
I cannot thank DNA Doe Project and Traci Onders Project manager enough for their efforts since they took this case 7 years ago.
We are asking anyone who may have been friends, acquaintances, or co-workers with the victim to please contact West Manchester Twp Police and speak to Detective Sgt. Conway at 717-792-9514. Any information is vital to this case as we try to bring the killer to justice.
