On April 8, 2026 at approximately 4:19 p.m. the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatch for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of State Route 177 and Bull Road / Traver Drive. 

Police arrived to find a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian. The crash involved one motor vehicle rear ending the second motor vehicle and then striking a pedestrian who was on the shoulder of the road. The vehicles were traveling south on State Route 177.  The pedestrian had crossed the road from Bull Road to Traver Drive prior to being struck. He was a 78 year old male. 

The male was Life Flighted to the Hershey Medical Center where he were later pronounced deceased. 

The police department will be releasing no further information at this time.
