LANSDALE BOROUGH- On July 31, 2026, at approximately 6:16 a.m., officers from the Lansdale Police Department responded to the 800 block of Andover Road for a report of a house fire involving multiple residences. Upon arrival, officers encountered heavy fire conditions affecting two attached homes, with reports of occupants trapped inside.
The fire was brought under control at approximately 7:44 a.m. At that time, one person was confirmed deceased inside one of the affected residences. The victim's identity has not yet been confirmed. Additional information will be released after next of kin have been notified.
Fairmount Fire Company is being assisted at the scene by multiple fire companies, VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Lansdale Electric, and PECO. Emergency responders remain on scene, and motorists are asked to avoid the area due to ongoing road closures.
Residents from at least four homes have been displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. There are no reports of any additional injuries at this time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
