Today, we pause to remember. On this solemn anniversary of September 11th, the Lycoming Regional Police Department joins our nation in honoring the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day. We encourage all residents to never forget the sacrifice, courage, and unity that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest moments. 

As the 9/11 Memorial Ride travels through Lycoming County today, we ask everyone to be especially careful on the roadways. Motorcyclists from across the region will be riding to show their support and remembrance. If you are driving:

• Stay alert and watch for groups of motorcycles
• Be patient and give riders plenty of space
• Allow extra travel time
• Use this moment to reflect, remember, and pray for all those impacted by the 9/11 terrorist attacks
