On July 20, 2026, Officer Lucas had the opportunity to speak with approximately 30 children participating in the Jersey Shore Summer Recreation Program. During the presentation, Officer Lucas educated the children on the daily responsibilities of a Lycoming Regional Police Officer within the region.

The children were fascinated to learn about the various gadgets and equipment used by police officers in their patrol cruisers, as well as on their duty belts and vests. The inquisitive group came prepared with questions and remained engaged throughout the presentation.

As a highlight of the event, the children were given the chance to explore the patrol cruiser and get a firsthand look at the equipment used by officers on a daily basis. This interactive experience provided a unique opportunity for the children to learn about law enforcement and the important role that police officers play in their community.
