The Lycoming Regional Police Department is honored to share that Darryl Andreas, our Mental Health Co‑Responder, received the PCCD Crisis Intervention Team Behavioral Health Practitioner of the Year award yesterday at the State CIT Symposium in State College, PA. This award recognizes Darryl’s exceptional leadership in crisis response, his collaborative work with officers and community partners, and the compassionate care he brings to every call. Under his partnership through the Center for Community Resources, our co‑response efforts have reduced unnecessary detentions and hospitalizations, connected more people to services, and improved safety for residents and first responders alike. We thank Darryl for his dedication and the humanity he brings to this work throughout our region. Congratulations, Darryl — LRPD is proud to have you on our team.
