On September 21, 2026, the Lycoming Regional Police Department received a tip through Crimewatch regarding a brutal assault that occurred on September 18, 2026, in the 1900 block of Lycoming Creek Road, Old Lycoming Township. The victim, a female, reported being attacked by a male while attempting to enter her vehicle. The male, who was unknown to the victim, stopped her and asked about his brother's whereabouts. The victim stated that she did not know the male. The male then allegedly threatened the victim, causing her to fear for her life. The victim sustained injuries, including a split lip and broken finger, and required stitches. She was treated at UPMC Hospital Emergency Room for her injuries.
Regional detectives quickly identified the suspect, EDDIE JOHNSON JR, who was most recently taken into custody late Friday night when regional police picked him up at a home on Dewey Avenue Extension in Lycoming Township on a Pennsylvania State Police arrest warrant after a call for a disturbance at the residence.
Video footage from nearby businesses showed a truck belonging to TIMOTHY KUHNS, pulling up to the Beverage Barn, where EDDIE JOHNSON JR exited the passenger side. JOHNSON JR was seen running around a vehicle and then fleeing across the street to McDonald's. The truck was later seen leaving the area. Detectives interviewed KUHNS, who denied seeing the assault but recalled hearing a woman scream and running across the street. KUHNS confirmed that JOHNSON JR. got out of his vehicle and asked the female about his brother, DOMINIC REYNOLDS, which led to her screaming and fleeing.
JOHNSON JR. was subsequently arrested for assault and terroristic threats charges. He was arraigned in front of the magisterial district judge and committed to Lycoming County Prison.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
