On 9-29-2026, at approximately 4:23am., Lycoming Regional Police Officers responded to 406 Broad Street, Apartment 2 1/2 in the Borough of Jersey Shore for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon conducting an on-scene investigation, it was determined that Michael Jarman and the victim were arguing over toothpaste and rent money. During the altercation, Jarman retrieved a 9mm handgun and started pacing around the residence breaking several items. Jarman told the victim, "If you call the cops, I will put a bullet in your head before they get here." The victim reported that Jarman stated this several times while holding the loaded firearm and pacing around the residence.
Jarman consented to a search of his residence, and the loaded 9mm handgun was found in the kitchen, hidden at the bottom of the trash can. Jarman is a person not to possess due to prior criminal convictions. Also, during the search, a methamphetamine pipe and a small amount of marijuana was located inside Jarman's bedroom.
Jarman was taken into custody by LRPD officers. Charges were completed and Michael Jarman was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christian Frey. Jarman was committed to the Lycoming County Prison after being denied bail.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
