Manheim Township Police are asking residents to contact us immediately if someone shows up at your home, uninvited, offering to seal or repair your driveway or make other home repairs.

These types of operations are often associated with transient crews who travel from community to community looking for homeowners to pressure into unnecessary, overpriced, or substandard work. They may claim they have leftover material from another job, offer a “special price,” or insist the work needs to be done right away.

If someone shows up at your house offering unsolicited driveway sealing or repairs, please call us.

We will respond, identify the individuals involved, and investigate whether they are operating legitimately and in compliance with Pennsylvania law. If violations are found, we will take the appropriate enforcement action, including issuing citations.

Do not hand over money. Do not let yourself be pressured into making an immediate decision. Do not assume someone is legitimate simply because they have a truck, equipment, or a professional-looking sales pitch.

We do not want our residents victimized. Give us the opportunity to check them out before you agree to anything.
