Each year, Special Olympics Pennsylvania hosts the Capital Area Region Polar Plunge, one of the region’s most anticipated winter events, bringing together over 1,000 participants and spectators for a day of fun and purpose. The funds raised through the Plunge support over 15,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across Pennsylvania, helping them to provide sports, health, and leadership programs at no cost to participants.
This year the Plunge is on Saturday, February 28th, at Gifford Pinchot Park. There will be a DJ, costume contest, and food trucks. Several employees from MTPD will be taking the plunge! Come out to cheer them on!!
