In 2026, April 12th through the 16th is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The Manheim Township Police Department wanted to take this time to thank all of the various employees from Lancaster County-Wide Communications (LCWC), who make the basic functions of our jobs possible. More often than not, it is the LCWC 9-1-1 call-taker who initiates the first response and activates emergency services. These dedicated professionals are often "forgotten and overlooked," but they truly are a critical spoke in the wheel of public safety. Their diligence and professionalism benefits all residents of, and visitors to, Lancaster County.
Thanks LCWC from everyone at Station 51!
