Fatal Crash Investigation – 1st blk Roosevelt Blvd
At 6:57 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024, the Manheim Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash. Officers on the scene determined that a 1964 Ford Mustang driven by a 77-year-old female from Lancaster, PA, had crashed on the 1st Blk Roosevelt Blvd. This block of Roosevelt Blvd is a private property parking lot. Emergency responders arrived and found that the driver of the vehicle had suffered fatal injuries during the crash. Lancaster County Coroner’s office responded and pronounced the driver deceased. Members of the Manheim Township Police Department handled the crash investigation. The roadway was closed during the investigation. Initial investigation is that this was a single-vehicle, single-occupant crash during which the driver of the Mustang lost control for an unknown reason. The Mustang drove off the roadway, struck a curb, and fell down an (approximate 6’) embankment onto its side.
At this time, no other information is being released.
