Manheim Township Police today announced it will be increasing its enforcement efforts as part of the national May/June “Click It or Ticket” Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization which began May 16 and will run through June 5.
Enforcement for this mobilization will be conducted on selected roadways with high unbelted crash rates. Police will cite drivers and front-seat passengers who aren’t wearing seat belts.
PennDOT data for 2020 shows that 348 individuals were killed in crashes while not wearing their seat belt.
