MTPD is investigating the theft of an e-bike from the vestibule of Target, 1589 Fruitville Pike. Prior to the theft, the suspect approached the juvenile owner, only 9 years old, in the parking lot and asked to take the e-bike for a “test ride,” leaving a phone and wallet as collateral. The suspect later returned the bike, but was captured on store surveillance returning to the vestibule and taking the e-bike while the owner and friends were inside the store.

The suspect pictured was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a red Coca-Cola baseball hat. He was last seen leaving the store toward Dick’s Sporting Goods.
