On Saturday, August 8, 2026, a male Pit Bull-type dog was located abandoned in the alley along N. Market St., between McGovern Ave. and Liberty St., in the area of PETS Emergency, located at 930 N. Queen Street. The dog, which is white, black, and brown in color, was found wrapped in a blanket and had multiple deep wounds and apparent bite injuries requiring medical attention. Based on the nature and extent of the injuries, the dog is suspected of having been involved in illegal dog fighting.
