LITITZ BOROUGH - On 03/24/2022 around 12:00 PM, a tri-axle dump truck turned onto East Main Street (SR0772) from North Broad Street (SR0501). During the turn, the driver of the truck accidently opened the tailgate of the truck, which discharged large stones onto the roadway, which were being hauled. The eastbound lane of East Main Street between North Broad Street and Sturgis Lane were covered in the stone and closed for a period of time during clean-up. Lititz Borough Public Works removed the rocks from the roadway. No injuries or damage to nearby vehicles or property were reported.
