Leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 14, 2019. As a reminder to residents and visitors, this results in specific areas temporarily designated as "no parking." Below we have answered FAQs regarding leaf collection:
Question: When does leaf collection start in Lititz Borough?
Answer: This year, it is Monday, October 14, 2019.
Question: What are the days and times that the "no parking" regulation is in effect?
Answer: Mondays from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM and Wednesdays from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
Question: Will there be reminders about the "no parking?"
Answer: Yes. There will be temporary signs posted along the affected streets to remind residents of the days and times.
Question: What day does the leaf collection occur on my street?
Answer: South Spruce Street (east side of the street is Monday and west side of the street is Wednesday). South Broad Street (west side of the street is Monday and east side of the street is Wednesday).
Question: If I see that the leaf collector has already passed, is it okay to park before 3:30 PM?
Answer: No. Sometimes the leaf collection will make additional passes after the initial.
Question: What happens if I forget, or I don't move my car in time?
Answer: You will receive a parking ticket in the amount of $20.00 and the leaf collection will be forced to maneuver around your car resulting in leafs being left along your property.
Question: Is parking restricted anywhere else other than South Spruce Street and South Broad Street?
Answer: No. Leaf collection occurs all over Lititz Borough, but these are the only two streets with restricted parking.
