Lititz Borough – The LBPD welcomed three new officers at last evening’s Borough Council meeting.
Officers Spencer Moser, David Greenwood and Joseph Walsh were all sworn in by Mayor Timothy Snyder.
Spencer is a graduate of Cocalico HS, and Lebanon Valley College, where he earned a degree in Exercise Science, and was captain of the football team.Spencer is currently living in Ephrata, with his wife, Kayla, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and they are expecting their first child in January.
David is a graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg HS, as well as Liberty University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a veteran of the United States Army. David was recently married, in June, to his wife Taylor, who is a teacher in the Manheim Central School District. They reside in Manheim.
Joseph is originally from Belleville, NJ, and prior to joining Lititz Police, was a Corrections Officer at Lebanon County Prison.Joseph resides in Myerstown with his wife, Haley, a substitute teacher, and their daughters Rosie, and Willow.
All three Officers are currently attending the Harrisburg Area Community College 123rd MPOETC Police Academy where they will graduate on December 21st after completing 919 hours of training.
Following their academy graduation, these officers will be mentored by veteran LBPD officers during their field training.The field training will include an additional 520 hours of training.
The LBPD wishes these officers long and successful careers!
