LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD has submitted the April 2023 Pennsylvania Use of Force Data Collection. Zero reportable use of force was submitted for the month.
This data collection is an official Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) data collection program under the auspices of the Pennsylvania UCR Act (Act 180 of 2004). This data collection became mandatory on January 1, 2023. The National Use-of-Force Data Collection is contributed to by law enforcement agencies to report law enforcement use of force that results in fatalities, serious bodily injury to a person, or the discharge of a firearm at or in the direction of a person.
The LBPD has previously provided a UCR public resource page on LititzPD.org, where anyone can utilize a self-service dashboard to view agency-submitted UCR data. To ensure accuracy in the data submitted by the LBPD to the UCR system, the LBPD adheres to quality control checks on the data to ensure validity and adherence to established standards of reporting.
