LITITZ BOROUGH - As the Independence Day holiday approaches, the LBPD is often asked about fireworks being discharged in the Borough of Lititz. Lititz Borough ordinance prohibits the use of all fireworks, except sparklers, therefore making their use illegal.
Although House Bill 543 was signed into law on October 30, 2017, which allows Pennsylvania residents to purchase Class C consumer-grade fireworks, their use in the Borough of Lititz remains illegal. Residents wanting to report the illegal use of fireworks in the Borough of Lititz can do so through the police non-emergency dispatch (717) 664-1180. Any emergency situation, such as a fire danger from falling debris or an immediate danger to life, should be immediately reported to 911.
