A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Lancaster County until 11 PM August 12. According to the National Weather Service, numerous showers and thunderstorms will be in the area this afternoon. Our ground is still very wet from recent storms. It only takes 1 inch of rain to cause flash flooding.
Stay safe! If you come across a water covered roadway, turn around. Don't drive through a flooded roadway as you have no idea what's under the water. Last week there were 12 water rescues conducted during the storm. Don't put yourself or the rescuers at risk.
