Update 05/28/2024 at 12:45 pm - The LBPD is providing identifying information regarding the driver involved in the fatal crash which occurred on 05/27/2024. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Anthony Perez, age 22, of Lititz. This identification was made earlier today by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office.

LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD is investigating a single car crash that occurred in the 400 Block of West Lincoln Avenue, between Arrowhead Drive and South Walnut Street. This crash was reported on Monday, May 27, 2024 around 7:59 pm. Initial 911 calls reported a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole, and a subject had been ejected onto the roadway. First arriving officers found a single occupant of the vehicle on the roadway and they were transported by ambulance for hospital-based care of life-threatening injuries. The driver did not survive their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The LBPD is identifying the driver as an adult male, but is withholding additional identifying information until additional family members are notified.

The investigation into the crash, including any contributing factors is active and ongoing. Preliminary on-scene investigatory information suggests the vehicle was traveling eastbound on West Lincoln Avenue before crossing into and across the westbound travel lane prior to striking the telephone pole. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
