LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function investigated a crash that occurred on 03/13/2023 around 1:48 pm at the intersection of South Broad Street (SR0501) & West Second Avenue.

A vehicle traveling north-bound on South Broad Street attempted to make a left turn onto West Second Avenue. The driver of this vehicle failed to yield to the right-of-way for an oncoming (south-bound) vehicle, resulting in a collision. After the collision, the vehicle that attempted to make the left turn overturned and the driver was entrapped in the vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles were transported for hospital-based care with non-life-threatening injuries. A summary traffic citation has been filed against the driver of the vehicle that turned left. That driver has been summoned to respond to District Court.
