On Thursday January 14th, 2016 at 1229hours Lititz Borough Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 300blk of Patridge Drive for an attempted burglary. The homeowner, who was home at the time of the incident stated a white male had first knocked on the front door of the residence. The homeowner did not answer the front door and observed the male walking away from the residence. Several minutes later the homeowner heard a loud crash and breaking of the sliding glass patio door to the rear of his home. When the homeowner went to see what had happened, he caught a glimpse of a male reaching his hand through an opening in the broken part of the glass door in an attempt to unlock a deadbolt lock. The suspect observed the homeowner standing inside the home and then fled the area. Any resident in that area that may have observed anything around the time of the incident is asked to call Lititz Police at (717)626-6393.
