LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against Stuart L. Patton, age 70, of Lititz, alleging he committed the crime of Strangulation and two other charges. On 03/16/2026 at approximately 9:30 pm, LBPD responded to a domestic that just occurred in the 500 block of Chickadee Drive.  Officers spoke with the victim who reported that an argument turned physical and Patton applied pressure to the victim's throat.  Officers also spoke with the defendant and Patton explained that he was trying to stop his granddaughter from driving after he suspected she consumed alcohol and the encounter turned physical. 

Patton was transported to Lancaster County Prison for immediate preliminary arraignment. A preliminary hearing is to be scheduled.

Patton is presumed innocent.
