DUI Accident

LITITZ BOROUGH - The Lititz Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against Daniel HARTMAN, age 41, of Lititz, alleging he committed the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

On 2/21/2026 at approximately 1:55 am, a LBPD officer pulled over a Honda Pilot for failing to stop at a stop sign and having a rear taillight that was not functioning properly.  After further investigation, Hartman was arrested for DUI.  It was also discovered that Hartman backed into a "Do Not Enter" sign on a property located on North Cedar Street. Hartman was subsequently taken to the Lititz Borough Police Department for a chemical test of his breath, which indicated a BAC of 0.196%. 

Hartman has been summoned to respond to District Court for preliminary arraignment and a preliminary hearing.

Hartman is presumed innocent.
