PFA VIOLATION

LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function filed a criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause against James SMITH, 50, of Lititz, alleging he committed the offense of Indirect Criminal Contempt (PFA violation).

On 8/21/2026, an adult victim reported receiving numerous messages through text and Instagram from SMITH.  The victim also received phone calls from SMITH and SMITH also came to the victim's residence, which was a direct violation of the PFA that was in place against him. 

SMITH was arrested by officers and brought back to the Lititz Borough Police Department then transported to Lancaster County Prison for immediate Preliminary Arraignment, and a Preliminary hearing is to be scheduled.

SMITH is presumed innocent.
