The Lancaster Township Police Department is proud to welcome three outstanding officers to our growing team.

On August 10, 2026, the Lancaster Township Board of Supervisors officially swore in Officer Melvin Torres. A lifelong Lancaster Township resident and graduate of McCaskey High School, Officer Torres joins us after serving with the Harrisburg Police Department. He is also bilingual and fluent in Spanish, bringing valuable skills that will help us better serve our diverse community.

More recently, on September 14, 2026, the Board of Supervisors swore in Officer David Kahley and Officer Joshua Massi.

Officer Kahley joins us following a distinguished career with the West York Borough Police Department, where he retired after more than 20 years of service and attained the rank of Detective Lieutenant.

Officer Massi began his public service career in Corrections before becoming a police officer with the Trainer Borough Police Department in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

As we continue to build and strengthen our department, we are excited to have Officers Torres, Kahley, and Massi serving alongside us. Their experience, dedication, and commitment to public service will be tremendous assets to our agency and our community.

We ask our residents to join us in extending a warm Lancaster Township welcome to these officers. Nearly two years ago, when our department was first established, this community embraced us with incredible support, encouragement, and spirit. We hope you'll welcome our newest officers with that same kindness and enthusiasm as they begin serving Lancaster Township.

Welcome to the team, Officers Torres, Kahley, and Massi! We look forward to working alongside you and to the positive impact you will make in our community.
