On August 29, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Lancaster Township Police Department received a report that three teenage juveniles, had stolen an e-bike from a victim's porch in the 600 block of North School Lane.
While officers were responding to the area, additional reports were received indicating that the same juveniles had stolen two other bicycles nearby.
Upon arriving in the area, officers located the juveniles on North President Avenue. Two of the juveniles abandoned the bicycles and fled on foot, while the third fled on the stolen e-bike. All three juveniles were quickly apprehended by Lancaster Township Police officers, and all stolen property was recovered and returned.
Further investigation revealed that two of the juveniles had been reported as runaways from Lancaster City.
Two of the juveniles were released to their parents pending the filing of juvenile allegations and subsequent court proceedings. Due to a history of chronic runaway behavior, the third juvenile was placed at the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center through Lancaster County Children and Youth Services.
