2026 Bleed Blue Challenge – Midway Update 

We are officially halfway through the 2026 Bleed Blue Challenge, and it’s hard to believe January has already come to an end!

During the month of January, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health recorded 367 blood donors participating in the Bleed Blue Challenge. We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by residents across Lancaster County who continue to step up for this critical, life‑saving cause.

January presented its challenges, with harsh winter weather and widespread cold and flu illnesses impacting donor availability. Despite this, there is great news—there is still plenty of time to make a difference.

To make participation more convenient, the Lancaster Township Police Department will be hosting a blood drive right here in the community:
