On April 3, 2026, at approximately 6:59 p.m., the Lancaster Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Abbeyville Road for a motor vehicle proceeding through a red signal. During the stop, officers confirmed that the driver, Morgan Clarke, was operating the vehicle while her driver’s license was suspended. It was also discovered that the vehicle registration was suspended and that the vehicle did not display current inspection or emissions.
Morgan Clarke obstructed the vehicle towing process and fled the scene of the traffic stop, she was stopped again shortly thereafter. Clarke refused to exit the vehicle and was eventually taken into custody. During the arrest, officers observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. While in custody, Clarke acted irate, screaming, kicking, striking the interior of the police vehicle, and spitting inside the vehicle.
Morgan Clarke was charged with one count of fleeing and eluding, one count of disorderly conduct, one count of resisting arrest, one count of driving with a suspended license, one count of driving without a license, one count of driving with a suspended registration, one count of operating a vehicle without valid inspection, one count of failure to stop at a red signal, and one count of having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
A preliminary hearing in this matter is yet to be scheduled before the Honorable Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle of Magisterial District Court 02-2-03, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
