Retirement Announcement: K9 Jack
The Derry Township Police Department is honored to announce the retirement of K9 Jack, a dedicated and loyal member of our team. Since 2015, K9 Jack has served as a dual-purpose Patrol and Narcotics K9, working tirelessly alongside his handler, Sgt. Michael McCormick. This team has had a career of certification through the North American Police Work Dog Association.
Throughout his 10-year career, K9 Jack has been instrumental in numerous apprehensions, narcotics arrests, and successful search warrants. His exceptional skills and dedication have made a significant impact on our community, and we are grateful for his service to the residents of Derry Township and Dauphin County.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to K9 Jack on his well-deserved retirement. We wish him a long, happy, and relaxing retirement, filled with love, comfort, and plenty of belly rubs. Thank you, K9 Jack, for your unwavering commitment and service to our community.
