Important Road Closure Notice: Stauffers Church Road

Following a recent bridge inspection on October 2nd, 2025, Township Engineers have deemed it necessary to close the roadway over a box culvert on Stauffers Church Road until a full replacement can be implemented. This decision was made due to the structure's compromised state, which poses a risk to public safety.

Prior to the inspection, the Township had already designed and secured permits for the replacement of this structure, with plans to begin the project in the summer of 2026. However, due to the continued risk of further settlement and potential structural instability, immediate closure is required to ensure public safety.

The road closure will be in effect by October 27th, 2025, and is estimated to last approximately six months. We will provide updates on the construction schedule once the project is awarded to a contractor.

In the meantime, please find the attached detour map to assist with navigating the area during the closure. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
