Winter Weather Emergency

Shippensburg Mayor Shaun Rogers may declare a snow or winter weather emergency pending the upcoming snowstorm to start on Saturday into Monday. 

Parking is prohibited on both sides of Burd Street, King Street, Orange Street, North Prince Street and the North side of Fort Street and the inner loop of Stewart Place.

Public parking lots are available at the Firefighter’s Activity Center – 35 West Orange Street, West Burd Street, Memorial Park and the Borough Office at 111 North Fayette Street.

Ticketing and Towing could begin on Saturday January 24, 2026.

Reminder that snow must be removed from the sidewalks and crosswalks within 12 hours after the end of the storm.  It is illegal to put the snow that is removed in the cartway such as the street, ally, avenue, lane or drive.
