The Shippensburg Police Department would like to remind residents to exercise caution and take necessary precautions as a winter storm is expected to impact our area.

Heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures are predicted, which may lead to hazardous road conditions, power outages, and disruptions to daily activities.

Safety Tips:

• Avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary. If you must travel, slow down and leave plenty of space between vehicles.
• Keep your phone charged and with you at all times in case of an emergency.
• Stock up on warm clothing, blankets, and non-perishable food items in case you lose power or heat.
• Keep your gas tank at least half full to prevent fuel line freezing.
• Check on vulnerable neighbors, friends, and family members to ensure their safety.
