Public Safety Announcement: Soliciting Without a Permit

The Shippensburg Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that soliciting without a permit is prohibited within the borough. This includes door-to-door sales, charitable solicitations, and other forms of solicitation.

In order to ensure public safety and prevent fraudulent activities, the borough requires all solicitors to obtain a permit from the Police Department. This permit process helps to verify the legitimacy of solicitors and ensures that they are aware of and comply with local regulations.  All borough approved solicitors will have a permit that is easily visible at all times.  

If you are approached by a solicitor who cannot provide a valid permit, please do not engage with them and contact the Shippensburg Police Department immediately. We encourage all residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help keep our community safe.
