Shippensburg Police Department is Hiring with a $10,000 Hiring Bonus

The Shippensburg Police Department is creating an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must have the following requirements to be eligible for testing:

• Must be 20 years or older before the deadline for submitting completed applications
• Shall possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma
• Must be a United States citizen
• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license prior to appointment.
• Must establish a residence within 40 miles of the Borough of Shippensburg within six months of completing the probationary period for police officers

The physical fitness test will be on Saturday May 30, 2026, at 09:00 A.M. The written examination will be immediately after the physical fitness test and the oral examination will follow the written examination.
