On July 13th, 2020 Newville Police took Derek Varner of Newville into custody on a warrant for Possession with Intent to Deliver. Upon search incident to arrest, marijuana was confiscated from Varner's pocket. After getting consent to search Varner's apartment more marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. Varner was charged with  Title 35 780-113 A31 Possession of Marijuana and Title 35 780-113a32 Drug Paraphernalia.
