On 05-11-2020 Newville Police received a report from the Big Spring Pharmacy regarding possible prescription fraud.  The Officer discovered that an individual called four pharmacies in Cumberland County posing as a doctor from Ocean City Maryland. The individual placed orders for 240ML Codeine and 250 MG of Azithromycin at these pharmacies. Additionally, it was discovered that the suspect was posing as a relative of the fake patient listed on the prescriptions. The suspect called the Big Spring Pharmacy asking if his prescriptions were ready or not. Officers met the suspect at the Pharmacy and identified him as Sabiel Pina-Capellan of Bronx NY. Sabiel was detained and taken for questioning. Officers discovered he was paid to pick up Codeine from multiple pharmacies and transport them back to NY to be sold. Additionally, Officers discovered that Sabiel was in possession of heroin. Sabiel was placed in custody and transported to Cumberland County Prison.
