Important: Real court, federal, and law enforcement officials will NEVER ask you to:

• Withdraw cash
• Pay over the phone
• Use gift cards
• Use payment apps
• Purchase BITCOIN currency

Scammers may use various tactics to convince you, including:

• Impersonation: Pretending to be a local police officer, sheriff's deputy, or U.S. Marshal, and spoofing law enforcement phone numbers
• Intimidation: Claiming you missed a summons, violated the law, or have an active arrest warrant, and telling you not to hang up or report it to the police
• Fake Proof: Sending spoofed caller IDs or fake arrest documents via text or email
• Demands: Pressuring you to pay an immediate "fine" using payment apps, wire transfers, gift cards, or cash deposits into cryptocurrency ATMs
• Identity Theft: Asking for Social Security Numbers, copies of driver's licenses, bank account balances, and account numbers
