On 09/09/2026 Carlisle Police responded to the 1st block of South Pitt Street to check an address for a missing person out of Kentucky. Upon arrival officers observed signs of the missing person being in the residence. Officers engaged in an hours long negotiation with Michael Boyd, the tenant of the address, to allow the missing person to come to the door so officers could make contact with them. A search warrant was obtained and Boyd was taken into custody for obstructing administration of law or other governmental function. While taking Boyd into custody he resisted officers. Once at the Cumberland County Prison Boyd was found to have a folding knife concealed on his person. 

The missing person was located in the residence safely and is in the process of being re-united with family members.
