The Westtown - East Goshen Regional Police Department proudly announces the retirements of two dedicated members of our department, each of whom has made a lasting impact on our community through decades of service.
After 28 years of dedicated service, Officer Gary Frey has officially retired.
Spending the majority of his career assigned to the Traffic Safety Unit, Officer Frey worked tirelessly to keep our roads safe. From conducting traffic enforcement and investigating crashes to educating drivers and promoting safe driving habits throughout the community, his commitment has helped protect countless families over the years.
Please join us in thanking Officer Frey for 28 outstanding years of service and wishing him and his family a well-deserved, happy, and healthy retirement. Congratulations and best wishes on your next chapter.
Following 33 years of dedicated service, Sgt. Stephen Wassell has also retired from the department.
During his distinguished career, Sgt. Wassell served as an EVOC Instructor, Field Training Officer, CISM Team member, CID investigator, and D.A.R.E. Officer, positively impacting both fellow officers and the residents he served. In 2013, he was promoted to Sergeant and assumed leadership of B Squad, where he continued to lead with professionalism and integrity.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Sgt. Wassell for his service and sacrifice and wish him and his family continued health, happiness, and success in the years ahead.
