Police Activity Blotter 8/9/2026 - 8/15/2026

8/10/26, at 9:53 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of W. Cypress Street for a report of trespassing and scattering rubbish. (KS-26-007734). Video footage showed a male subject leaving two tires in a “junk pile” at the business. This incident is pending further follow-up.

8/11/26, at 8:36 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of E. Linden Street for a dog that had been barking for a few hours. (KS-26-007758). Upon arrival, Officers heard the dog barking outside and later received a call stating the dog had been barking every day since 8/3/26. A No-Traffic Citation for the violated Borough Ordinance was issued.

8/11/26, at 10:06 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop on N. Walnut Street on a vehicle with nonfunctioning taillights. (KS-26-007761). Upon further investigation, three THC vape pens were seized, and a Non-Traffic Citation was issued for Disorderly Conduct.

8/11/26 at 10:44 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of N. Willow Street for a noise complaint. (KS-26-007791). Officers contacted two residents who stated they were talking loudly and would keep it down. Officers advised them of the Borough Ordinance.

8/12/26, at 10:42 AM, Officers were flagged down by a pedestrian who requested assistance in opening their vehicle because they had locked the keys inside. (KS-26-007804). The keys were retrieved without issue.

8/12/26, at 11:00 AM, Officers were dispatched for a parking complaint of a neighbor telling people that they could not park in front of their residence. (KS-26-007808). Officers contacted the neighbor and advised them to stop telling people this, as it was not a permitted street and the public was allowed to park there.

8/12/26, at 11:28 AM, while on patrol, Officers were stopped by a pedestrian requesting assistance in opening their vehicle because they had locked the keys inside. (KS-26-007805). No damage was caused to the vehicle while retrieving the keys.

8/12/26, at 6:22 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of W. Cedar Street for a vehicle blocking a driveway. (KS-26-007819). One parking ticket was issued.

8/12/26, at 8:06 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Taylor Street for a suspicious occupied vehicle. (KS-26-007824). Officers contacted the operator, who stated they were waiting for a friend. Officers observed nothing about the operator or the vehicle that required further investigation.

8/13/26, at 9:02 AM, Officers were dispatched for vehicles parked illegally on Birch Street. (KS-26-007838). Officers made contact and advised them to move their vehicles and that, if they continued to park there, they would receive parking tickets. 

8/14/26, at 10:23 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Washington Street for a report of criminal mischief involving damaged decorative lights in the reporting party’s backyard. (KS-26-007873). This incident is pending further investigation.

8/14/26, at 11:46 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of S. Broad Street for a well-being check. (KS-26-007877). While KSPD was on scene, the individual did not appear to be a strong candidate for a 302.

8/14/26, at 1:29 PM, Officers were dispatched to a parking lot in the 100 Block of W. State Street for a verbal altercation between two female subjects about parking in specific spots in the lot. (KS-26-007878).

8/14/26, at 4:14 PM, Officers were advised of a found iPhone that was placed outside the station early that morning because the office was closed. (KS-26-007882). The shattered iPhone was located in the 200 Block of Juniper Street.

8/14/26, at 9:20 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of W. South Street and S. Garfield Street. (KS-26-007891). Upon arrival, officers heard loud music with heavy bass and contacted two individuals, who advised they would lower the music. 

8/15/26, at 1:57 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of N. Union Street to assist the Kennett Township Police Department with a vehicle accident. (KS-26-007915). Officers assisted by providing a PBT device and transporting the vehicle's passenger to their residence.

8/13/26 at 6:38 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on S. Walnut Street. (KS-26-007801).

8/13/26 at 2:51 PM, a vehicle accident occurred in the 300 Block of E. State Street. (KS-26-007683).

8/15/26, at 4:12 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. State Street. (KS-26-007913).


Traffic Enforcement

30 Traffic Citations and 44 Written Warnings were issued.

91 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

71 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
