8/23/26, at 7:16 AM, Officers were dispatched near the intersection of E. Cypress Street and Race Street for a well-being check of a male sleeping on the walking path. (KS-26-008156). Contact was made with the male, who advised that he was homeless and was sleeping under the bridge for shelter. Officers shared resources that could help him and advised him to call 911 if he needed help.
8/23/26, at 12:16 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Magnolia Street for a well-being check on a male who was sending concerning text messages. (KS-26-008165). Upon making contact with the subject, all appeared okay, and nothing led officers to believe the matter needed further investigation.
8/23/26, at 4:57 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Center Street for a noise complaint of loud music. (KS-26-008172). Upon responding, officers heard loud music coming from a residence's backyard. Officers contacted the homeowner, who agreed to turn the music down.
8/24/26, at 10:24 AM, Officers were dispatched for a vehicle blocking the lane of travel on Filbert Alley. (KS-26-008193). Officers contacted the vehicle owner and advised that the vehicle needed to be moved or would receive a parking ticket.
8/25/26, at 5:29 AM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street for a suspicious person who had been on their property since 8/24 at 4:00 PM. (KS-26-008227). Officers contacted the person and advised him he could no longer stay there and needed to relocate. Officers purchased him food and a drink before he left the area.
8/25/26, at 7:11 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a vehicle striking a crosswalk sign at the intersection of S. Willow Street and E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-008230). Officers checked the sign and observed no new damage.
8/25/26, at 1:31 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of counterfeit money received as change from a purchase made in March 2026. (KS-26-008237). The reporting party advised that she did not want reimbursement and only wanted to turn in the bills so they would not be redistributed.
8/25/26, at 6:21 PM, Officers were dispatched for a missing purse that was lost in Anson B. Nixon Park. (KS-26-008248). Upon contacting the reporting party, they advised that the purse was located and police assistance was no longer needed.
8/25/26, at 7:09 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Race Street for keys locked inside a vehicle with a child inside. (KS-26-008247). Upon arrival, the child did not appear to be in distress, and officers gained entry to the vehicle without issue.
8/25/26, at 7:53 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of Lafayette Street for a verbal domestic. (KS-26-008250). After speaking with both parties, officers advised them to separate for the remainder of the evening.
8/26/26, at 8:26 AM, Officers were dispatched to Birch Street and Terminal Way to escort an oversized load out of the Borough. (KS-26-008268). Officers assisted with traffic control.
8/26/26, at 8:46 AM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 300 Block of W. State Street for a disturbance. (KS-26-008272). Employees asked officers to speak with an individual who was treating their rehab program as a homeless shelter. Officers contacted the subject, advised them, and they left the area without issue.
8/26/26, at 2:53 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of Birch Street for keys locked in a vehicle. (KS-26-008296). Officers gained access to the vehicle without issue.
8/26/26, at 4:37 PM, Officers were dispatched to E. Cypress Street and S. Walnut Street for a streetlight out. (KS-26-008297). The Streets Department was contacted and hooked up a generator to power the lights. PECO was advised of the power outage.
8/27/26, at 9:12 AM, Kennett Township Police Department was dispatched for an erratic driver complaint involving a male subject acting irrationally. (KS-26-008317). The subject in question was talking to KSPD Officers in the area of E. State Street and S. Walnut Street at the time of dispatch. Knowing that the male subject’s behavior was often peculiar, KSPD advised that this was normal behavior.
8/27/26, at 11:59 AM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage in the 100 Block of E. Linden Street for the garage arm not operating properly. (KS-26-008322). Upon arrival, the gate appeared to be functioning properly, and nobody was stuck in or out of the garage.
8/27/26, at 11:21 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Magnolia Street for a domestic between two male subjects. (KS-26-0083463). Upon further investigation, one subject was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and related offenses.
8/28/26, at 10:00 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of E. Cypress Street for a 911 hang-up. (KS-26-0089353). Contact was made with an employee who was unsure how the call was made and stated everyone was fine inside the business. The building appeared safe and contained no one other than employees.
8/28/26, at 11:07 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of E. Cypress Street for a possible fall down the stairs. (KS-26-008360). Officers contacted the resident without issue, and everything appeared okay.
8/29/26, at 3:36 AM, Officers observed three female juveniles walking in the 100 block of S. Broad Street. (KS-26-008381). They were advised of the Borough’s curfew and provided transport back to their residences.
8/29/26, at 12:24 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of E. South Street for a domestic disturbance. (KS-26-008389). Upon arrival, it was determined that a domestic had not occurred and that the reporting party wanted police to speak with a family member about possible marijuana use.
8/29/26, at 6:14 PM, Officers were dispatched to a parking lot at Apple Alley and Marshall Street for a report of a vehicle double-parked, blocking the reporting party’s vehicle. (KS-26-008397). Upon arrival, officers observed multiple parking violations and issued 7 tickets.
8/29/26, at 9:55 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of E. State Street on a Jeep that was driving aggressively. (KS-26-008413). Upon further investigation, the vehicle’s operator was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.
8/24/26, at 6:24 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of S. Union Street and W. Mulberry Street. (KS-26-008213).
8/26/26, at 7:21 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. Cypress Street. (KS-26-008264).
