Police Activity Blotter 8/2/26 - 8/8/26

8/2/26, at 12:51 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Meredith Street for a domestic assault. (KS-26-007484). Subsequently, one subject was taken into custody.

8/2/26, at 3:48 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street for keys locked inside of a vehicle. (KS-26-007486).

8/2/26, at 8:41 PM, while conducting a patrol check in Anson B. Nixon Park, Officers observed a pickup truck parked in the lower lot near the volleyball court. (KS-26-007498). Officers contacted the subjects inside the vehicle, who were made aware that the park was closed at this time and that they would need to vacate the area.

8/3/26 at 9:06 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Penn Avenue for an animal complaint of a bat in their kitchen. (KS-26-007509). The bat was secured using a bucket and removed from the home.

8/3/26, at 2:11 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a postal truck driving at a high rate of speed on Marshall Street earlier in the day. (KS-26-007518). The reporting party wanted to express their concern about speeding traffic in that area. Officers advised that additional traffic enforcement and increased patrols in the area would be conducted.

8/3/26, at 8:27 PM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage for an individual having trouble exiting. (KS-26-007524). Upon arrival, Officers used the caller's ticket to assist in opening the gate.

8/3/26, at 9:08 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of South Street and Union Street for a male subject who appeared to be intoxicated. (KS-26-007525). Upon arrival, the area was checked, and no one was observed.

8/4/26, at 10:07 AM, while on patrol in the 300 Block of Oak Avenue, Officers observed an illegally parked utility trailer. (KS-26-007539). Officers contacted the owner, who was advised that the trailer could not be parked on the roadway and needed to be moved by the Borough Ordinance.

8/4/26, at 3:22 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. Linden Street for a vehicle blocking the reporting party’s driveway. (KS-26-007546). Upon arrival, the owner of the vehicle was about to leave and was advised not to park in that area in the future.

8/4/26, at 5:47 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a fake business being listed at the reporting party’s residence on Google Maps. (KS-26-007548). The reporting party advised they didn’t want an investigation completed and only wanted the business removed from the internet. They were advised to contact Google.

8/5/26, at 1:50 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of W. State Street and Meredith Street for loud music in the area. (KS-26-007570). Upon arrival, no music was heard in the area.

8/5/26, at 4:04 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of S. Union Street for a vehicle that was not authorized to park in that area. (KS-26-007575). One parking ticket was issued.

8/6/26, at 10:42 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling above the 25-mph speed limit. (KS-26-007601).  Subsequently, upon further investigation, a Non-Traffic Citation was issued for possession of marijuana.

8/6/26, at 1:02 PM, Officers were dispatched to Marshall Street for an ongoing issue of vehicles playing loud music and honking horns. (KS-26-007606). Because the complaint was not occurring at the time, Officers advised the reporting party to notify police while this was actively occurring.

8/6/26, at 5:41 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of Juniper Street for keys locked inside of a vehicle. (KS-26-007617).

8/6/26, at 10:45 PM, while conducting a patrol check in Anson B. Nixon Park, Officers observed a vehicle occupied by two subjects. (KS-26-007625). Upon contacting the individuals, it was observed that they were eating in the vehicle. They were advised that the park was closed and that they would need to leave the area.

8/7/26, at 12:59 AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Hazel Avenue and N. Walnut Street for a suspicious condition of a female yelling approximately 5 minutes prior. (KS-26-007629). The area was checked with no vehicles or people seen. 

8/7/26, at 8:07 AM, Officers were dispatched to W. State Street for a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows up. (KS-26-007636). Upon arrival, the windows were observed to be open, and the dog appeared okay.

8/7/26, at 8:42 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of Center Street for a report of a vehicle parked on the sidewalk. (KS-26-007637). Upon arrival, no vehicle was observed parked illegally.

8/7/26, at 9:36 AM, Officers received a report at station involving possible prostitution. (KS-26-007639). This incident is pending further investigation.

8/7/26, at 11:38 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a tenant having issues with their landlord regarding not wanting to pay for something related to the rental property. (KS-26-00764). The reporting party was advised that this was a civil matter.

8/7/26, at 12:22 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Linden Street for a barking dog that had been outside barking since 8 AM. (KS-26-007645). Officers attempted to contact the resident multiple times during the day with negative results. A Non-Traffic Citation for the Borough Ordinance was issued.

8/8/26, at 7:03 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of E. Cypress Street for a well-being check on a male subject who was flailing his arms and walking into traffic. (KS-26-007685). Officers verified that the subject was okay and advised them not to walk in travel lanes.

8/6/26, at 4:56 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. State Street. (KS-26-007615).

8/7/26, at 1:14 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. State Street. (KS-26-007646).

8/8/26, at 6:40 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-007684).


Traffic Enforcement

22 Traffic Citations and 34 Written Warnings were issued.

71 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

65 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
