Police Activity Blotter 6/21/26 - 6/27/26

6/21/26, at 1:01 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of S. Union Street for a noise complaint of loud music in the parking lot. (KS-26-005959). Contact was made with a resident, who was advised to turn off their music due to the time. 

6/21/26, at 11:41 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report regarding police presence during a custody exchange. (KS-26-005969). Child exchange was conducted without issue.

6/21/26, at 8:15 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. Mulberry Street for a verbal domestic. (KS-26-005984). After speaking with both parties involved, it was advised that the disagreement was only verbal, and no signs of a physical altercation were observed.

6/21/26, at 11:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to Lafayette Street regarding a barking dog. (KS-26-005988). Upon arrival, no dog was heard. Patrols were conducted in the area with negative results.

6/21/26, at 11:35 PM, Officers assisted the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department with a disturbance involving multiple subjects in the 100 Block of W. Summit Avenue. (KS-26-005990).

6/22/26, at 8:27 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of S. Union Street for a disabled vehicle blocking traffic. (KS-26-006001). Upon arrival, Officers assisted in jumping the vehicle and moving it out of the roadway.

6/22/26, at 11:42 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of S. Walnut Street for a disturbance between a mail carrier and a resident. (KS-26-006007). The resident was advised to limit their interactions with the carrier and be less abrasive in the future.

6/22/26, at 5:32 PM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 700 Block of W. Cypress Street for a report of a retail theft. (KS-26-006016). After speaking with the employee, Officers were advised that they did not want to press charges; however, they did not want the three juveniles back in the store.

6/23/26, at 12:30 PM, Officers received a report regarding damage discovered to a vehicle. (KS-26-006045). The reporting party advised that on 6/13/26, they observed juveniles throwing rocks in a parking lot near their vehicle, and on 6/14/26, they discovered that their windshield was cracked. Unfortunately, the vehicle was out of the camera's view in the area.

6/23/26, at 1:01 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. State Street for a parking complaint regarding a vehicle that had been parked in the privately owned lot for approximately a week. (KS-26-006044). One parking ticket was issued for the vehicle.

6/23/26, at 7:59 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. Linden Street for a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot without a placard displayed. (KS-26-006056). One parking ticket was issued.

6/23/26, at 9:41 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of W. Mulberry Street for a criminal mischief report involving three juveniles kicking on doors in the area. (KS-26-006058). Officers patrolled the area but did not observe any subjects matching the provided description.

6/24/26, at 8:35 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Lafayette Street for a broken vehicle window discovered by the owner. (KS-26-006068). This incident is pending review of camera footage in the area.

6/24/26, at 9:07 AM, Officers were dispatched for a suspicious person hanging around a financial institution in the 200 Block of E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-006069). Contact was made with the individual, who advised that they were on their work break and would not return to this location in the future to avoid issues.

6/24/26, at 8:15 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of E. Linden Street on a red Chevrolet operating with only one headlight visible. (KS-26-006076). Upon further investigation during the stop, drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. Subsequently, one Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued.

6/25/26, at 10:30 AM, while in the area of N. Broad Street and E. State Street, Officers were advised of an unlocked door to a business that the reporting party was delivering to. (KS-26-006096). Officers checked the business, located in the 200 Block of E. State Street, and observed no one inside. An employee arrived and was advised to contact the police if anything appeared missing.

6/25/26, at 2:27 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of Race Street for a bullet that was found in the ground by juveniles utilizing a metal detector. (KS-26-006102). The bullet was observed to be oxidized and appeared old.

6/26/26, at 12:27 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Lafayette Street for a domestic disturbance. (KS-26-006115). Upon further investigation, two Non-Traffic Citations were issued.

6/26/26, at 2:19 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of S. Willow Street for a juvenile who appeared to be having a mental health crisis and was breaking items inside the residence. (KS-26-006162). Valley Creek Crisis’ information was provided to the juvenile’s parent because they did not want to speak with them at this time.

6/26/26, at 9:09 AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette and W. Mulberry Streets in response to a report of a fox that did not appear to be aggressive. (KS-26-006129). The animal was not observed by Officers upon arrival. 

6/26/26, a Crimewatch submission was received referencing a potentially abandoned vehicle in the 100 Block of Oak Avenue. (KS-26-006150). Upon investigation of the vehicle, it appeared to have valid inspection, emission, registration, and parking permit. The register owner did not live in this area of the Borough and, upon contact, advised that they would move their vehicle. 

6/26/26, at 5:15 PM, Officers were dispatched in response to a report of the theft of two fans that occurred around midday on 6/24/26 in the 300 Block of Juniper Street. (KS-26-006152). The reporting party had provided a picture from Amazon that showed the packages delivered to the front of their apartment door.

6/27/26, at 6:47 AM, Officers were requested to assist the Kennett Township Police Department with a missing juvenile report involving a juvenile from Kennett Township and another from Kennett Borough. (KS-26-006175). On 6/28/26, at 11:31 PM, Officers were advised that the Borough resident had returned home.

6/27/26, at 8:11 PM, a traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of S. Union Street on a vehicle with an expired registration. (KS-26-006193). Upon further investigation during the traffic stop, it was determined that the vehicle operator had an active arrest warrant from the Maryland State Police Northeast Barracks. He was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.

6/22/26, at 9:43 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on Juniper Street. (KS-26-006003).

6/22/26, at 7:55 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. South Street. (KS-26-006189).

6/26/26, at 3:35 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on Marshall Street. (KS-26-006149).

6/27/26, at 5:28 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of W. Cypress Street and S. Mill Road. (KS-26-006189).


Traffic Enforcement

34 Traffic Citations and 39 Written Warnings were issued.

129 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

13 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

68 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
