Police Activity Blotter 5/3/26 - 5/9/26

5/3/26, at 5:08 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Center Street for a disturbance of an intoxicated male attempting to fight another resident and had broken a window. (KS-26-004212). Upon further investigation, it was learned that the subject had an active warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to Chester County Prison.

5/4/26, at 7:39 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Lafayette Street for vehicles parked without permits. (KS-26-004251). The reporting party was advised that the permitted parking is only valid until 5:00 PM.

5/4/26, at 8:23 PM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 100 Block of W. State Street for a potential criminal trespassing violation. (KS-26-004256). Upon further investigation, the reporting party was advised that no crime had been committed at this time.

5/4/26, at 8:45 PM, Officers were dispatched to the KAU fields for a disturbance involving approximately 16 students who were yelling profanities and had been asked to leave the area. (KS-26-004257). Patrols were conducted in the area with negative results in locating the group.

5/5/26, at 12:03 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Magnolia Street for a noise complaint. (KS-26-004261). Upon arrival, the homeowner asked if the small group was being too loud. They turned off their music and advised that they would keep the noise down.

5/5/26, at 4:34 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. Cypress Street for a parking complaint about a vehicle fully blocking the reporting person’s driveway. (KS-26-004284). The vehicle was cited for this and for not having a valid parking permit in this area.

5/6/26, at 12:17 AM, Officers were notified of a vehicle repossession in the 100 Block of Meredith Street. (KS-26-004293).

5/6/26, at 12:00 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report regarding possible bullying of a female juvenile. (KS-26-004339). All parties involved were addressed, warned, and instructed to have no further contact with each other.

5/6/26, at 10:01 PM, Officers were dispatched for a phone assignment in reference to a disturbance that had occurred at a business in the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street. (KS-26-004326). Upon further investigation, the reporting party was advised that it did not appear as though any criminal activity occurred.

5/7/26, at 12:40 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Ridge Avenue for a domestic incident. (KS-26-004328). The reporting party advised that they did not want to press charges, but due to their drinking, they could not drive to leave the residence. Officers provided transportation for them to remove them from the situation for the evening.

5/7/26, at 11:51 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street for a vehicle blocking the sidewalk. (KS-26-004340). Upon arrival, the vehicle was located and did not appear to be blocking the sidewalk at this time.

5/8/26, at 8:40 AM, Officers were dispatched to Anson B. Nixon Park for a loose Husky. (KS-26-004368). A leash was placed on the dog and was returned to the owner when he arrived on scene. A Non-Traffic Citation was issued for Borough Ordinance 3-4 A.

5/8/26, at 9:05 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of Linden Circle for a parking complaint of a vehicle that had been parked in front of the reporting party’s house for several days without moving. (KS-26-004369). Upon arrival, the vehicle was parked legally, and the registration was checked and found to be in good standing.

5/8/26, at 11:38 AM, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Birch Street and S. Walnut Street for an unattended child. (KS-26-004377). Upon contacting the child’s parent, it was advised that they had just had a door replaced and that it was having difficulty closing properly, which is most likely how the child got out of the residence. 

5/8/26, at 3:13 PM, Officers were dispatched to Walnut Court Way for a report of possible theft from a caregiver. (KS-26-004391). This incident is pending further investigation.

5/8/26, at 7:04 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a runaway juvenile. (KS-26-004393). Upon further investigation, all events were deemed to have occurred outside our jurisdiction.

5/8/26, at 8:01 PM, a traffic stop was conducted in the area of S. Union Street and Oak Avenue on a vehicle that failed to stop for a red traffic signal. (KS-26-004400). Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

5/9/26, at 8:13 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Race Street regarding a juvenile found wandering without a guardian. (KS-26-004409).  Upon further investigation, a Child Line report was generated for this incident.

5/9/26, at 11:12 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Hornblende Avenue for a report of loose chickens. (KS-26-004415). The homeowner was contacted and advised that they needed permits to possess fowl in the Borough and that said permits allowed a maximum of four birds. 


Vehicle Accidents

5/7/26, at 2:28 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-004343).

5/7/26, at 9:57 PM, a vehicle accident occurred in the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street. (KS-26-004325).


Traffic Enforcement

25 Traffic Citations and 41 Written Warnings were issued.

78 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

75 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
