5/17/26, at 1:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Birch Street in response to a report of speeding vehicles. (KS-26-004680). Upon arrival, a car show was in progress in the area, but no speeding vehicles were observed. A patrol vehicle was parked in front of the reporting party’s residence for the remainder of the car show.

5/17/26, at 1:55 PM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage regarding a person unable to exit. (KS-26-004684). Upon arrival, Officers assisted the reporting party in exiting the garage.

5/17/26, at 6:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. State Street to assist a motorist with a dead car battery. (KS-26-004689). Upon arrival, Officers used a jump box to start the vehicle’s engine.

5/17/27, at 8:18 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Street and Washington Street in response to a report of a suspicious person riding a bicycle barefoot and holding what appeared to be a stick. (KS-26-004695). Contact was made with the individual, who advised that everything was okay, and he was just riding his bike near his residence.

5/17/26, at 9:20 PM, Officers were dispatched to the KAU fields for individuals possibly throwing bottles against the fence. (KS-26-004698). Upon arrival, the subjects were instructed to clean up the broken plates in the parking lot and vacate the area when they had finished.

5/18/26, at 2:00 PM, a blue smartphone was found near the intersection of Maiden Lane and W. Linden Street and turned in to the police. (KS-26-004724). The phone had been run over, leaving it significantly damaged and inoperable.

5/19/26, at 9:24 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of E. Cypress Street for a parking complaint of a black Volkswagen parked without a valid permit. (KS-26-004770). A parking ticket was issued.

5/19/26, at 11:10 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of S. Walnut Street for two dogs chained outside without water since approximately 9:00 AM. (KS-26-004780). Contact was made with the residents, and they were advised that, due to the temperature, they needed to bring the dogs inside.

5/19/26, at 12:34 PM, Officers were dispatched to a report of several juveniles running between vehicles in the area of Magnolia Street and S. Garfield Street, appearing to look inside the vehicles. (KS-26-004785), Officers arrived on location but were unable to locate the group. Patrols of the area were conducted throughout the day.

5/19/26, at 12:37 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of Magnolia Street regarding a report of money found. (KS-26-004787). The currency was taken and entered into property.

5/20/26, at 4:39 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of E. South Street and S. Walnut Street for an alleged drug transaction that had just occurred. (KS-26-004832). This incident is pending further investigation.

5/21/26, at 10:38 AM, Officers were dispatched for a disturbance in the parking lot next to 600 W. State Street. (KS-26-004855). The operator of the vehicle was contacted, who advised that they had an appointment in the area and were just killing time beforehand.  They left the area to prevent further issues.

5/21/26, at 8:33 PM, Officers were requested to assist the Kennett Township Police Department for a report of possible shots fired. (KS-26-004875). Officers spoke with multiple individuals; no one reported hearing any alleged gunshots. The area was checked, and no other subjects were located.

5/22/26, at 6:28 PM, a credit card found in the 500 Block of S. Broad Street was turned in to KSPD. (KS-26-004902). An internet search was conducted with no match to the owner. 

5/22/26, at 7:22 PM, Officers were dispatched for a phone assignment referencing harassment via text messages. (KS-26-004903). The reporting party was advised to block the aggressor's phone number and to cease all communication. Patrols around the reporting party’s residence were conducted throughout the evening.
